INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL

APPLICABLE FOR USE WITH DRINKING WATER

Dear Costumer, thanks for choosing this Atlas Filtri

WARNING: this equipment requires a regular periodical maintenance in order to grant

drinking water quality of the treated water and the consistency of water improvements as

declared by the manufacturer.

In order to avoid the clogging of the dosing nozzle, it is advisable to protect the appliance with an

appropriate filter mounted upstream.

GENERAL DIRECTION FOR USE

- Use only for filtration of water with pH from 6.5 to 9.5. Do not use for air and compressed gases.

- Respect the working conditions as shown in the product data sheet.

- Install the products in sheltered rooms and protected from freeze and excessive heat. (min 4 °C,

max 45 °C).

- Keep protected from direct light.

- If not in use for long time: remove the polyphosphate charge; at re-starting: use a new

polyphosphate charge.

- after the installation, let the water flow for at least 5 minutes before the use.

WARNING: Use only and exclusively with water that is suitable as drinking water. Do not use with

water that is designed for different purposes or with water of un-known quality.

INSTALLATION

Before the installation, check if the hydraulic system has been set-up according to the rules-of-the

art in force.

- If pressure exceeds the working limit, protect the dosing system with a pressure-reducer.

- Keep protected from water hammer with an anti-water hammer device

- Turn off the water mains valve.

- Install a non-return valve, if not yet installed, between the boiler or the water heater and the

dosing system.

- Unscrew the head pipe fitting and connect it to the inlet pipe vertically or horizontally following

the direction of the arrow printed on the fitting.

- Connect again the head to the fitting making sure that the sealing o-rings are in the correct

position.

- For DOSAPLUS 4-14-24. Turn on the water mains valve.

- For DOSAPLUS 1-1TA-2-21-21TA-22. Turn on slowly the "Flux-stop" knob rotating it counter -

clockwise through two complete turns (not until the end). The Flux-stop cock must be regulated

so as the refill may last two or three months. In case of excessive consumption turn off the cock

slightly.

- For DOSAPLUS 3-13-23. Turn on slowly the valve "Flux - stop" raising the lever up to the

position A.

ATTENTION

- Carefully install the product according to flow direction as indicated by the arrow onto tee

connection of the Dosaplus.

- Connect to pipes using cylindrical (parallel) fittings (BSP - ISO 228), possibly with flexible hoses.

- Do not overtighten any of the threads in order to avoid damages of the same.

- Use only sealing tape as a sealant for the connections.

- Before the installation, wipe clean pipes and appliances that are mounted before the dosing

system in order to avoid damages caused by hard sediments and parts.

- It is advisable to install check-valve s/faucets for water sampling before and after the dosing

sytems. Install the check-valve after the dosing system at least 2 metres downstream the dosing

system in order to check over a good blend of Poliphos A in water.

- Install the dosing system with room enough for maintenance operations, especially for the

insertion of the spanner to remove the bowl from head.

As the istallation is complete, check there are no water leaks from the system.

ATTENTION

Using polyphosphate charges different from original POLIPHOS A by Atlas Filtri make the warranty

void.

WARNING: for hygiene and safety:

- Handle the product with clean hands or with clean gloves.

- Keep the product in its package and protected from powder and humidity until the moment of

installation.

- Before placing the polyphosphate refill into the dosing system, make sure the system bowl is

wipe clean, use cold water and a soft sponge in case.
