Function and

overhaul*

Refer to Troubleshooting (page 11) to

determine where to look if problems occur.

Disassembly

Switch module

1 Remove screws (2) that secure switch

module (1) to housing (3) († Fig. 4).

2 Separate switch module from housing.

NOTE

Switch module is serviced as an

assembly. No further breakdown of

assembly is necessary.

Metering gears

3 Remove screws (8) and washers (7) that

secure housing cover (6) to housing (3).

4 Separate housing cover from housing.

5 Remove o-ring (4) from oval groove in

housing.

6 Remove gears (5) from housing.

Clean and inspect

7 Clean all metal parts in cleaning solvent.

Solvent should be environmentally safe.

8 Inspect all parts for wear and/or

damage. Replace as necessary.

9 Closely inspect mating surfaces of

housing cover (6) and housing (3) for any

imperfections. Ensure a smooth and

clean contact is obtained when

assembled.

NOTE

Use a repair kit for replacement parts.

Do not discard old components. First,

verify all component are included in kit.

Indicates change.
