Ensure that the power supply from the
equipment rack or PoE is switched off.
10.
Feed the installation cable(s) into the
unit through the conduit or cable gland
and connect to the front panel (A).
11.
Seal the cable entry point.
12.
Ensure all tools and swarf are removed
from the enclosure.
13.
Power the unit on from the equipment
rack or PoE.
14.
Commission the unit.
15.
Re-fit the front panel and secure it
using 4 x M3 screws (B).

Commissioning and Troubleshooting

1)
Configure the WMC01 in the PAVA System Configuration Tool (PAVA SCT).
For IP connected units, enter the unit's MAC address in the PAVA SCT so that all required IP settings are
automatically set by the host VIPEDIA-12 during configuration load.
2)
Serially connected WMC01 (RS485):
a)
Check ROUTER 2 port is connected to the correct port of the host VIPEDIA-12 unit.
b)
If the WMC01 displays "HOST COMMS LOST", connect ROUTER 1 port to the correct port of the host
VIPEDIA-12 unit.
3)
IP connected WMC01 (Ethernet):
a)
Check the WMC01 unit is in the same network as the host VIPEDIA-12.
b)
Avoid direct connection to ETH1/ETH2 ports of a VIPEDIA-12/V2000 unit.
4)
Load the configuration into the host VIPEDIA-12 unit.
5)
The WMC01 will update and reboot.
6)
If serial connection, change connection to ROUTER 2 port (if not already using ROUTER 2 port).
7)
The WMC01 will display the source selection menu.
WMC01 stuck in "Please wait":
1)
Check connections as described above.
2)
If still no comms, re-load configuration into host VIPEDIA-12 unit.
3)
Power cycle the WMC01 unit and clear faults on the VIPEDIA-12 unit.
4)
If still no comms, reset the WMC01 configuration and re-commission the unit.
To reset the WMC01 configuration:
a)
Set DIP switch 2 up; see "Installation" (page 6)
b)
Press the
button.
c)
Use
keys to navigate to the MISC SETTINGS tab.
d)
Select CFG DEFAULT and deselect ASL CONTROLLER (if selected).
e)
Press
to confirm.
f)
Configuration will be reset and unit will reboot.
g)
Set DIP switch 2 down.
