ply with them in order to prevent personal injury and dam-

Proper use

•

The solar light is designed to decorate outdoor areas. The stor-

age battery charges during the daytime via the solar cell ﬁ eld.

The accumulated energy allows the LED light to illuminate at

night.

•

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other

use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material

away from children and pets.

■

The product is not a toy! Keep children and pets away from the

product to avoid injuries.

■

Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the sto-

rage battery prior to disposal). Only have the product repaired

by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by customer service.

■

If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid

does not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous

membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the af-

fected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek

immediate medical attention.

■

Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in

ﬁ re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.

■

Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe

percussions.

■

Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.

■

Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only

splash-proof.

■

In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or

if you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of

time, turn it off and store the product in a dry place.

■

To enable an automatic activation of the LED light the solar

light may not be situated near other light sources such as

street lamps or other lamps.

Overview

Start-up

The storage battery must charge for approximately 6 to 8

hours in order for the LED light to illuminate.

1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective wrap-

pers (e.g. from the solar ﬁ eld) and stickers, if present. Check all

parts for possible transport damages. Should you identify any

transport damages, please promptly consult customer service.

2. Locate the solar light in a place where it is exposed to as much

direct sunlight as possible for the entire day (ideally in open

areas, not underneath trees etc.). Place the solar light on a dry

and level base. Ensure that it does not pose a tripping hazard.

3. The ON / OFF-switch is located on the side of the solar light.

Set it to ON position in order to activate the solar light. Set it to

the OFF position in order to deactivate the solar light.

Sunlight will now charge the storage battery. At dusk, the LED light

will automatically turn on. At dawn, the LED light turn off and the

storage battery recharges via the solar ﬁ eld.

Cleaning

Ensure that the solar ﬁ eld is always clean in order to ensure the

greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean it or the lamp

occasionally with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive or abra-

sive cleaning products to clean the product! They could dam-

age the surface.

Disposal

The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the

packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and

make it available for the recyclable material collection-

service.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-

ner. The product does not belong in the household gar-

bage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical

and electronic appliances. For more information, please

contact the administration in your community.

Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-

posed of separately before disposing of the product. To

protect the environment, batteries and storage batteries

may not be disposed of together with normal household

waste. Instead they must be turned in at collection points.

Be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on battery

disposal.

Removing the storage battery

Open the the battery compartment by removing the cap on

the underside of the lamp. Afterwards, you can carefully

remove and dispose of the storage battery.
