STEP 1: CHARGE BATTERIES
Charge the AA and AAA batteries completely before installation using the provided charger.
STEP 2: SHIFTER INSTALLATION
Bike Preparation
1. Shift to smallest gear on rear cassette.
2. Remove rear wheel.
3. Disconnect the shift cable from the rear derailleur and pull bowden housing and ferrule
free from rear derailleur.
Shifter Prep - Batteries
1. Remove the M2 screw holding the battery door cover closed.
2. Insert the two 3.7V li-ion rechargeable AA size batteries into the battery channel, positive
end first.
3. Do not use alkaline AA batteries. Although they are the same size, they run a much lower
voltage and the shifter will not perform well.
4. Close the battery door and tighten the M2 screw.
Shifter Prep - Shift cable
1. Locate the shifter along the chainstay and measure the cable and bowden housing
lengths you will need for your bike. Keep it as straight as possible.
2. Peel back the silicone housing to expose the maintenance hatch.
3. The drive nut should be as close to the ferrule side of the shifter as possible. If not,
power on the shifter, pair with the app, and go to "Settings > Change Shift Cable."
4. Insert the desired length of shift cable into the drive nut and thread it out the ferrule hole
on the shifter.
5. Affix ferrules to the bowden housing and slide the shift cable through. Fit the shifter end
ferrule into the hole on the shifter.
6. Pull the shift cable snug against the drive nut and take care that the barrel of the shift
cable is not caught on the small metal tab on the drive nut.
7. Re-affix the silicone cover over the maintenance door.
