PROGRAM PLAYBACK

CHAPTER PROGRAM

PLAY

This function lets you play back chapters on Laser-

Vision Discs or tracks on Compact Discs, in any order

you like. You can program the order you want using

the remote control unit.

Chapter programming is not possible for LaserVision

Discs on which chapter numbers

are not recorded.

NOTE:

@ Programming

is possible during play, pause

and repeat

modes,

but programming

during

repeat

mode

causes

repeat mode

to be cancelled.

@ In the case of standard play LaserVision

(CAV) Discs,

programming

can

done

during

still

frame,

and

multi-speed playback also.

[Program Playback Procedure]

A maximum

of 10 steps can be programmed.

The programmed

chapter or track numbers

are dis-

played on the screen in order.

Attempts

to program

than

10 items

are not

accepted.

STEP 1............. Press the PRGM key.

STEP 2.....0:s0000 Enter a chapter or track number

using DIGIT keys 0 - 9.

STEP 3....

Press

the

MEMORY

key (the

same as the SEARCH key).

If required, repeat steps 2 and 3.

Press the PLAY key.

m Playback is in the programmed

order.

m When

all programmed

steps

have

been

played

back, the player enters stop mode, and the pro-

gram is cleared.

NOTE:

!f chapter or track numbers

not on the disc are entered.

@ In the case of LaserVision

Discs...

Chapter numbers

not on the disc are programmed,

but

are skipped during program playback.

@ In the case of Compact Discs

lf the TOC has been read after beginning playback, track

numbers

not on the disc can

not be entered into the

program.

If programming was done before playback, entry of track

numbers not on the disc is accepted, but when program

playback is begun, the numbers are eliminated from the

program

when

the TOC is read.

(Discs on which chapter numbers are recorded only)

To program playback of chapters or

tracks 3, 6, and 1, in that order

CANCELLATION

OF PROGRAM

PLAYBACK

When ail of the programmed chapters or tracks have

been

played

back, the disc stops

rotating, and the

program is cleared.

To cancel playback part way through program

play-

back, press the CLEAR key.

(This will also cause the

program to be cleared.)

NOTE:

@ If scan, search, or repeat operations are performed during

program

playback,

the program

playback

will be can-

celled.

@ During playback of a standard play (CAV) LaserVision

Disc, program playback will be cancelled if multi-speed

operation in the reverse direction (~<) is carried out.
