Intended Use

This article is designed for use as a decorative feature indoors.

It is not a toy!

The article is designed for personal use only and is not in-

tended for commercial applications. The article should only

be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is

deemed to be improper.

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects

caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-

tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning of suffocation! Keep the article and the packaging

material away from children and animals.

■

Warning of acid burns from battery acid! Batteries can be

deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the article out of the

reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek

medical assistance immediately.

■

Beware of acid burns from battery acid! If a battery has

leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes

to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery

acid, rinse the affected area with abundant fresh water imme-

diately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

■

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in

the candles and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if

necessary.

■

Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the "Technical Data".

■

When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).

■

Take the batteries out of the candles when they are dead or if

you will not be using the candles for a prolonged period. This

will prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

■

The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other

means, dismantled, thrown into a ﬁ re, immersed in ﬂ uids, or

short-circuited.

■

Use the article only in closed rooms.

■

Protect the article from: impacts, heat, direct sunlight, sub-zero

temperatures, moisture and wet conditions.

■

Store the article in a dry place and at room temperatures.

■

Dust off the article with a soft, dry cloth to clean it. More intense

soiling can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

■

If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In

the event of any damage, please contact our customer service

department.

Putting into Operation / Inserting Batteries

1. Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for possible

transport damage. If you should ﬁ nd any transport damage, do

not use the article(!), but contact the customer service depart-

ment.

2. Insert the supplied batteries into all candles. The battery com-

partments are located on the bottoms of the candles. To open

a battery compartment press the catch (C) toward the battery

compartment cover (D) and remove the cover.

3. In each case, insert one 3 V button cell battery (CR2032) with

the negative pole ﬁ rst into the battery compartment.

4. Insert the battery compartment cover (D) and press it down

until it engages audibly.

If the performance of the candles diminishes, the batteries should

be replaced.

Switching On and Off

Each candle has an On/Off switch (B) on the bottom.

Switch on: Slide the switch (B) to the ON position.

Switch off: Slide the switch (B) to the OFF position.

Disposal

Recycle the packaging material in an environmentally

friendly manner.

Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly manner

The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the

article and disposed of separately from the article. To protect

the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable

batteries may not be disposed of with normal household

waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points.

Also note the relevant statutory regulations governing the

disposal of batteries.
