Adjusting the damper
The damper should be adjusted while it is on the grooved wheel on top of the piston rod. If you
notice that the pointer moves faster, turn the wheel clockwise. If you notice that the pointer
moves slower, turn the wheel counter-clockwise.
Levelling the scale
Align the scale using the support feet. Make sure that the air
bubble of the spirit level is centred in the black frame.
Potential taring
When the spirit level is set precisely as described above, the pointer should be at zero.
Otherwise, make sure to tare the scales as described below:
Below the weighing surface and the load cross there is a compartment with lead shot. Remove
the weighing surface from the load cross, loosen the load cross and lift it off. If the pointer is at
the "PLUS" dash (above zero), remove some lead shot; if the pointer is at the "MINUS" dash
(below zero), add some lead shot. Practise a little bit to know exactly how much should be
added or removed. Finally, re-assemble the load cross and weighing surface.
Locking up
The scales should always be transported with the dial mechanism locked in
place. To lock up the scales dial, push the black locking handle into the
horizontal position. When transporting the scales over longer distances, make
sure to close the oil damper by pushing down the rubber plug to prevent leakage
of damping oil.
Cleaning
The scales should be cleaned when unloaded. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents
while cleaning, but only a damp cloth or conventional disinfectants.
Make sure that no liquid enters the device!
Storage and Transport Conditions
Keep all parts of the packaging in case you need to return the shipment to avoid possible
damage during transportation.
