troubleshooting

1) If no time is shown on the LCD Display:
a) Turn on Power Button. It is possible the unit is in the Off Mode.
b) Make sure wall outlet is functioning by plugging in a different
electrical device.
c) Check connection of Micro USB Plug and Universal USB Power Supply. It
is possible the connection has come loose.
d) Change Backup Batteries.
2) If the clock is flashing:
a) The unit has lost power. Resetting user defined CLOCK, MEAL TIME and
MEAL SIZE programming will be necessary.
b) Note: Until unit is reprogrammed, it will revert to the
DEFAULT MEAL SETTINGS.
3) If "Error" indicator is flashing, this indicates the unit did
not completely deliver the full amount of food programmed
for the meal:
a) Turn unit off by using Power Button, empty the Food Hopper.
b) Check for food jamming in the throat of the Base Unit. Note: To avoid
damaging the unit, DO NOT use tools.
c) Check for jamming around food discharge door.
d) Dislodge any food jams. Reminder: Works best with ½" food diameter
food or smaller.
e) Re-assemble, refill with food and turn on unit.
f) Press the MANUAL button on the display to ensure the unit will properly
dispense food. Note: If clock is flashing, unit has lost all power.
Resetting user defined CLOCK, MEAL TIME and MEAL SIZE programming
will be necessary.
4) Error light is flashing, with an overfilled bowl:
a) Unit is not able to dispense based on food being unable to fall from the
Base Unit.
b) Empty the bowl so future meals can dispense properly.
c) If overfilling is consistently happening, the user defined MEAL SIZE
should be reduced.
5) If the "LOW BATTERY" indicator light is lit:
a) Ensure Micro USB Plug is connected to Base Unit and Universal USB
Power Supply is plugged into wall outlet. Make sure no connections
have come loose.
b) Make sure wall outlet is functioning by plugging in a different electrical
device.
c) Refer to the Battery installation instructions and install new batteries.
d) If clock is flashing, unit has lost all power. Resetting user defined CLOCK,
MEAL TIME and MEAL SIZE programming will be necessary.
