Upgrade Dell EMC Networking N3000E-ON Switches
9. Power ON stack (N3000E-ON series with N3000 Series).
10. Verify the stack of N3000E-ON Series and N3000 Series switches via show switch and show version
command output like below:

Administrators setting up mixed stack of N3000E-ON and N3000 Stacked switches should follow the below steps
below:
1. Back up your configuration of N3000E-ON Stack and N3000 Stack Switches.
2. Upgrade using telnet or SSH require default enable authentication method or enable password in current
configuration. If not configured follow steps below to configure an enable password:
console#configure
console(config)#enable password <password>
console(config)#exit
console#copy running-config startup-config
3. Download the 6.5.3.6 firmware image (N3000AdvLitev6.5.3.6.stk) to stack of N3000E-ON switches and
stack of N3000 switches.
NOTE:
Activate the image to use as the boot (active) image after the stack
resets. Images on the N3000E-ON stack is named as active and backup.
4. Activate 6.5.3.6 (Advanced-Lite) firmware on stack of N3000E-ON switches and stack of N3000 switches.
5. Reload the N3000E-ON Stack and N3000 stack.
6. After stacks are reloaded, download and activate the mixed-stack firmware image
(N3000N3100AdvLitev6.5.3.6.itb) on both stack of N3000E-ON switches and stack of N3000 switches.
7. Reload both N3000E-ON and N3000 Stacks again.
8. Power OFF both N3000E-ON Stack and N3000 Stack of switches. Plug-in mini-SAS stack cables and form
the stack of N3000E-ON and N3000 Series switches.
9. Power ON stack (Stack of N3000E-ON with N3000 Series switches).
