Connection for air extraction

Connection for air extraction
Danger of toxic fumes
Please follow the advice in the sec-
tion "Warning and safety instruct-
ions" very carefully.
The cooker hood should be in-
stalled acording to local regulations.
Seek approval from the buildings in-
spector where necessary.
Connection
– The extraction ducting should be as
short and straight as possible.
– Use large radius bends. Narrow
bends reduce the efficiency of the
cooker hood.
– Pipes made from non-flammable ma-
terials only may be used for extrac-
tion connection.

– If the extraction ducting is to be laid
horizontally, it should slope down-
wards away from the cooker hood
with a minimum incline of 1 cm per 1
metre of ducting to prevent con-
densed water from running back into
the appliance.
Calculating the extraction ducting
A pipe of diameter 120 mm (100 mm)
should guarantee trouble-free extrac-
tion by the cooker hood up to a total
pipe length of 34m (16m).
Determine the total pipe length as fol-
lows:
Measure the total length of the ex-
traction ducting to be used.
Add the appropriate equivalent
length of additional piping to this fig-
ure, according to the number and
type of bends (see table).
