USAgE INSTRUCTIONS
2. Mode Change
a) Turn on the tuner and clip it to the headstock of your instrument in a
position that is clearly visible.
b) Press button 2 to select the instrument that you are tuning.
c) Lightly pluck the string you wish to tune. It will automatically detect the
current pitch, and display the relevant string.
d) Make sure that the LCD correctly displays the string that you are
tuning. For example, if you are in guitar mode tuning the second string
and the LCD displays "1A" then the string is too tight and must be
loosened. Alternatively, if the LCD displays "3G" the string is too loose
and must be tightened.
e) When the LCD correctly displays the string that you are tuning, adjust
the string slightly according to the note accuracy indication needles,
loosening or tightening the string as required. The string will be in tune
when the needle points to the middle "0", and the LCD backlight turns
green.
f) After getting all of the strings in tune, go back and double check each
one. You may find some of the strings are still slightly flat. As you tune-up,
pressure from the strings naturally bends the guitar neck by a very small
amount. In turn, make some of the previously tuned strings slightly looser
again. Tuning all of the strings in order two or three times is a good way
to solve this problem.
