Safety notes

•

The product is designed for indoor decoration. It is not a toy!

•

The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other

use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

•

Batteries may be life threatening if swallowed. Therefore keep

the batteries and the product out of the reach of children. If a

battery has been swallowed, you must seek immediate medi-

cal attention.

•

Keep children and animals away from the packaging material.

Danger of suffocation exists!

•

Children must be under supervision to ensure that they do not

play with the products.

•

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in

the battery compartments and on the batteries are clean and,

if necessary, clean them.

•

Only use the battery type speciﬁ ed in the technical data (see

section "Technical data").

•

Always replace all batteries. Do not use different battery types,

brands or batteries of different capacitances. When changing

batteries ensure correct polarity (+/-).

•

Remove the batteries from the battery compartments if they

are empty or if you are not using the product for an extended

period. This way, you can avoid damages attributed to leaking.

•

If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes

and mucous membranes and the battery acid. In the event of

contact with the battery acid, rinse the affected areas instantly

with plenty of clean water and immediately consult a physician.

•

Remove any leaking batteries from the battery compartment.

Clean the contacts before you insert a new battery.

•

The batteries may not be charged or reactivated with other

means and they may not be disassembled, thrown in a ﬁ re,

submerged in a liquid or short-circuited.

•

Only use the product in enclosed areas.

•

Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.

•

Do not disassemble the product (except for changing the bat-

teries). Only have the product repaired by a qualiﬁ ed workshop

or by customer service.

•

Do not subject the product to extreme temperatures, severe

changes in temperature, direct sunlight or moisture.

•

Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops,

ovens, ﬁ replaces, heaters or burning candles.

•

Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe

percussions.

•

Ensure that the product can not get wet or fall in water. Dust

off the product with a soft, dry cloth to clean it. Heavily laden

dirt can be wiped off with a damp cloth. Do not use any ag-

gressive or abrasive cleaning agents! They could damage

the surface.

Before ﬁ rst use

1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils

and stickers. Check all parts for any damages from transport.

Should you identify any transport damages, please promptly

consult customer service.

2. Remove all foils from the enclosed batteries.

3. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the candle:

Push the locking mechanism towards the battery compartment

lid and pull it off.

4. Insert the 2 enclosed batteries. Make sure the polarity (+/-) is

correct.

5. Return the battery compartment cover to its previous position

and push it closed so that it audibly locks into place.

6. Insert the batteries in the other candles in this manner.

7. Before ﬁ rst use, pull the insulating strip out of the remote con-

trol to activate the battery.

Use

1. To activate the candles, push the switches on the underside of

the candles to the ON position.

2. You can now use the remote control as follows:

PLEASE NOTE! The candles only react to the remote control if

their switches have been set to the ON position.

5. If you do not use the candles for a prolonged period of time, set

their switches to the OFF position.

If the candles or the remote control lose power, change the

batteries.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the

packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and

make it available to the collection service for recyclable

materials.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly

manner. The product does not belong in the household

garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric

and electronic equipment. For more information, please

contact the administration in your community.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must be removed

and disposed of separately before disposing of the

product. To protect the environment, batteries and

rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of together

with normal household waste. Instead they must be turned

in at appropriate collection points. Please also observe

applicable statutory provisions regulating the disposal of

batteries.
