audiowerkstatt midi-restarter v2
The audiowerkstatt.de midi-restarter v2 is a tool for restarting a MIDI-slave in perfect timing without having to restart the MIDI-
master-clock.
Connectors:
9-12v:
Input for connecting a power supply (9-12V AC or DC (polarity doesn t matter)).
midi-in:
Input for connecting the output of the MIDI-master.
midi-out:
Output for connecting the input of the MIDI-slave.
Function of the buttons and LEDs:

3/4 -button+LED:
If the light is on, the midi-restarter v2 works in 3/4-mode, if the light is off, the midi-restarter v2 works in
4/4-mode. Press the button to change measure.

restart-mode -button+LEDs:
following 3 modes are availible:
1. stopstart: At the beginning of the next bar, a MIDI-stop-message and immediately after that a MIDI-start-message is sent. In
this mode, a standing sequencer is restarted and a running sequencer is "pushed" into the correct timing. This mode does not
work with all MIDI-devices as some devices require a short break between MIDI-stop- and MIDI-start-message. For these
devices, the second mode can be selected.
2. stop and start: A short time before the next bar starts (one MIDI-clock-message), a MIDI-stop-message is sent and then at the
next bar a MIDI-start-message is sent. In this mode, a standing sequencer is restarted and a running sequencer is - after a very
short break - "pushed" to the correct timing. This mode corresponds to the first and is intended for MIDI-devices that require a
short break between MIDI-start- and MIDI-stop-message.
3. stop or start: If the Sequencer is running, a MIDI-stop-message is sent at the next bar and if the sequencer is standing, a MIDI-
start-message is sent at the next bar. In this mode, a standing sequencer is restarted and running sequencer is stopped at the
next bar.

the MIDI-clock-specific data to the midi-out .
If the midi-thru -LED is off, only the MIDI-clock-specific data is sent to the midi-out .
Press the button to switch the midi-thru -mode.

restart -button + LED:
untill the start of the next tact. Then restart (or stop in stop or start -mode) will be executed and the light turns off.
All settings will be saved and restored at startup.
