INSTALLATION NOTES
Jumper Settings
For security purposes, jumpers are located inside (top-left corner) the controller unit. Please remove
screws to access jumpers and do so with care and only when unit is powered off.
JP1: Select Tach (default) or Tachless Ignition Mode. Under Tach Mode (recommended), with single
tap of the push-start button will START (crank) the engine automatically until it reaches the
programmed Tach value (Engine Tach Input required, see Tach Ignition Programming).
Under Tachless Mode, it allows the user to press-and-hold the push-start button to manually
START (crank) the engine for as long as the button being pressed.
JP2: This determines how the Push-Start Module is enabled. The default setting requires a secure
Optionally, jumper setting can be changed to accept a continuous GND signal to enable the
Push-Start module.
JP3: This determines the Remote Start function is enabled or disabled. Remote Start Function is
enabled by default, change to disable if remote start function is not required.
JP4: Unused, do not change from default jumper setting.
After making a jumper settings change, you must cut the power to reboot
NOTE
External Backup Ignition Relays (Optional)
This system is designed with a pair of independently controlled external ignition relays for Ignition 1
(ON1) and Ignition 2 (ON2) as backups for ignition relays inside the controller. Connecting these
relays is optional but highly recommended for vehicle that requires a high START current and high
electrical load during RUN. In the event of a relay failure, backup relays will take over and ensure
continuous vehicle operation without interruption. While connecting the external backup relays:
• If only one +12v source available at the ignition, joint the two (Red 14 AWG) Battery +12v inputs
together and connect to the single +12v source.
• Join both the ON 1 (Main) and ON1 (Backup) together and connect to ON 1 of the vehicle. Vice
versa for ON 2 (Main) and ON 2 (Backup).
connect the ON 1 of vehicle, and join the ON 2 (Main) and ON 1 (Backup) together and connect
the other ON 1 of the vehicle.
