1. Using the Auto Color Diagnosis Function

Click [Settings] in the top right corner of the "ACD Property" screen.

Select the accuracy (High accuracy/Standard) of paper properties, and then click [OK].
The number of color charts to be printed is 5 for "Standard" and 9 for "High accuracy".
Generating Paper Properties
To generate paper properties, select the paper in the "ACD Property" screen.
• Specify the generation accuracy by following the procedure described in page 7 "Specifying
generation accuracies for paper properties" before generating paper properties.
• After changing the color profile registered in the paper catalog, generate the color properties
again. If you use the machine without generating the color properties, Auto Color Diagnosis may
fail or the hue of the printed image may vary excessively.

Load sheets of paper in the tray, and select the tray from the media catalog using the
machine's control panel.
When generating paper properties, depending on the precision of the selected paper properties,
the machine prints color charts on 5 sheets of paper (for "Standard") or on 9 sheets (for "High
accuracy"). Load paper for printing charts in the paper tray.
