Introduction:

Many Corvette Owners looking to connect and play Apple iPod device to the

factory radio will be pleased to find the PXDP-C5. This adapter allows users to

play and charge their Apple iPod and control select functions from the radio

buttons. The PXDP-C5 uses the changer port on radio so any 12-disc changer in

trunk or hatch must be disconnecting.

The PXDP-C5 connects at the radio or 10-pin CD changer plug in trunk or hatch

in 1997-04 Corvette C5 and requires disconnected the 12-disc changer,

but with the storage capacity of most Apple iPod devices, sacrificing the CD

changer should be an easy decision.

Installation:

Remove radio from dashboard to gain access to the connectors. (

Disconnect factory 20-pin plug from radio (See Fig. 1)

2. Connect 20-pin plug (gray/black) from installation harness (See Fig.

2) to radio 20-pin port vacated in step 1

3. Connect factory 20-pin plug (black/gray) to installation harness 20-

pin (white) connector

4. Ensure module dip-switches #3 and #8 are set to "ON" (See Fig. 3)

5. Connect installation harness 22-pin plug (See Fig. 2) to mating

connector on Module

6. Connect dock cable 8-pin plug to Module 8-pin connector (See Fig. 3)

7. Route 30-pin dock (See Fig. 4) to front of the dash or location where

audio device will reside (within 10 ft.)
