Power Amplifier with DSP

Placement And Mounting

Turn off all equipment before making connections. The amplifier can be mounted in a standard width 19" rack using the optional
rack mount kit, PA702-RMK, or it can be mounted in an Atlas Sound WMA or AWR half width rack cabinet. It can be mounted
above or below anything that does not generate excessive heat. Although the unit's chassis is shielded against radio frequency and
electromagnetic interference, extremely high fields of RF and EMI should be avoided.
Ventilation
The amplifier should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the DPA-
102PM should not be situated in a sealed cabinet or on a shelf with obstacles that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation
openings. It is recommended that if the amp is not used on an open air pole, that is should be rack mounted into a commercial rack.
Heat
The DPA-102PM should be installed away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including
amplifiers) that produce excessive heat. Ambient temperatures should not exceed 113° F (45°C) when equipment is in use.
Pole Mount
The DPA-102PM is ideally suited to be used in boardroom or classroom audio/video applications. The DPA-102PM incorporates two
methods for pole mounting the amplifier. The installer can either mount the amplifier with a projector using the same 2" diameter
support pole and through chassis hole for enhanced security or the included side mount bracket can be used allowing the unit to be
attached to an existing pole mount application without removing the projector.
DPA-102PM Pole Mount – Through Chassis
The DPA-102PM includes the support bracket and hardware to mount the DPA-102PM to a pole. Follow instructions below for proper
installation.
1. Make sure the pole does not exceed 2" or 51mm. Common pipe for video projector mounting is 1.5" ID plumbing pipe. The OD for
this pipe is 1.9" or 49mm.
2. Make sure the DPA-102PM is unplugged from the AC source.
3. Remove the top and bottom hole plugs.
4. Secure the pole support bracket using the four screws as shown in the diagram below.
Note: the support bracket may be installed on the top or bottom of the amplifier.
5. Slide the amplifier up the pole. Do not force the amp onto the pole. Pay attention to orientation of the amp.
6. Secure clamp by tightening the two
clamps around the support bracket. Do not over tighten.

7. DO NOT mount any additional amplifiers to the same bracket. The support bracket is designed to support only one DPA-102PM.
