Proper use
•
The pan is intended to be used to prepare food on all custom-
ary stove types (gas, electric and induction stoves).
•
Oven suitability: up to max. 170 °C
•
The pan is not microwave-safe.
•
The pan should only be used as described in these instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
•
The pan is for personal and domestic use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications.
•
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling or damage. This also applies to
normal wear and tear.
Safety notes
■
WARNING – Danger of suffocation! Keep children and ani-
mals away from the packaging material.
■
There may still be some production residues on the pan. Boil
water in the pan before you fi rst use it and clean the pan thor-
oughly (see "Cleaning and Storage").
■
CAUTION – Danger of burns! Be careful when handling the
hot pan. Only ever hold it by the handle. Never leave the hot
pan unattended near to children or animals!
■
For use in an oven use potholders or oven gloves. Be aware
that the handle will also become hot in the oven.
■
WARNING – Danger of fi re! Never leave the pan unattend-
ed on the stove when it is switched on! Hot fat / oil may
catch fi re if it is overheated. In the event of a fi re: Do not extin-
guish burning fat / oil with water, but smother the fl ames with
a fi re blanket or similar cloth or extinguish the fat fi re with a
suitable fi re extinguisher!
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■
Do not overheat the pan, e. g. by heating it for a long time
with nothing in it! Overheating can result in material dam-
age and the production of smoke. If smoke is produced,
switch off the stove immediately, remove the pan from the hot
hob and make sure there is suffi cient ventilation in the room.
■
Do not use the pan if it is damaged. Check the bottom of the
pan for damage before each use! Do not use the pan if there
are scratches, score marks or uneven areas on the bottom of
the pan. Do not slide the pan over a glass ceramic hob as it
could be scratched. The manufacturer is not liable for any
damage caused by inappropriate use!

Notes on induction stoves:
– Induction stoves heat up at a faster rate than other types of
stove.
– Noises may be produced when the pan is used on induction
stoves. These are caused by the electromagnetic properties
of induction stoves and induction crockery and do not consti-
tute a defect.
■
Never pour cold water into the pan when it is still hot. This
could cause the coat to rupture.
■
Only use suitable kitchen utensils (e. g. spatulas or cooking
spoons) preferably made of wood or plastic.
■
Do not allow the pan to drop or subject it to strong impacts.
Items Supplied
1 x pan: Ø approx. 32 cm (effective Ø for induction: approx.
20 cm), 1 x pan handle, 1 x connecting piece, 1 x screw, 1 x wash-
er, 1 x spring ring
Before fi rst use
1. Check the pan for damage from transport. Do not (!) use the
pan if it is damaged, instead contact customer service.
2. Attach the handle to the pan:
– Place the spring ring and the washer onto the screw.
Mount the connecting piece on the pan and then the han-
dle on the connecting piece.
– Screw tighten the connecting piece and the handle to the
pan.
Tighten the handle screw if the handle becomes loose at
some point.
Use
Choose a hob that suits the size of the pan.
1. Warm the pan up a little.
2. Pour fat into the empty pan and then select the required frying /
cooking temperature; this will prevent overheating.
3. Once the fat has spread evenly, add the food to be fried and
reduce the temperature.
4. Initially the food to be fried will stick to the pan, but after a few
seconds it will detach itself. Only then should you turn it and
fi nish frying at a lower setting.
Cleaning and Storage
PLEASE NOTE!
■
CAUTION – Danger of burns! Allow the pan to cool down
completely before cleaning it.
■
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or clean-
ing pads. These can damage the surface.
•
Wipe down the pan with kitchen towel as soon as possible after
use and wash it up with mild detergent and warm water. Soak
dried-on residues in hot water.
•
Although the pan is dishwasher-safe, frequent cleaning in the
dishwasher may attack the coating and the fi ttings on the pan.
It is therefore recommended that the pan should be rinsed by
hand.
•
Store the dried pan in a dry, clean place.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally-friendly
manner and make it available to the collection service for
recyclable materials. Dispose of the pan in an environmen-
tal-friendly manner.
