This pedal cannot be powered by a battery.
Directions

Run a cable from your guitar to JHW2's INPUT jack and another
cable from JHW2's OUTPUT jack to your amplifier.

Start with VOLUME and FUZZ controls at 12 o'clock.

Turn effect on by depressing the footswitch.

Rotate LEVEL knob clockwise to increase overall volume or
counterclockwise to decrease it.

Rotate FUZZ knob clockwise to increase the amount of fuzz or
counterclockwise to decrease it.

By default, the octave-up fuzz effect is disabled. To engage it,
push the OCTAVE switch to its IN position.
