Switching on the notebook

The battery must be fully charged before running the notebook from the battery

for the ﬁrst time. Please note that the ﬁrst time the battery is charged will require

considerably more time than will be needed on subsequent occasions.

Windows XP:

You can conﬁgure the on/off button under Start - (Settings) - Control Panel -

Performance and Maintenance - Power Options - Advanced.

Windows Vista:

You can conﬁgure the on/off button under Start - (Settings) - Control

Panel - Mobile PC - Power Options.

If you have assigned a password, you must enter this when requested in order

to start the operating system. Detailed information can be found in the "Security

functions" section of the "Professional Notebook" Operating Manual.

► Slide the release button in direction of the

arrow (1) and open the LCD screen (2).

► Press the ON/OFF switch (1) to switch

the notebook on.

The power-on indicator is lit.
