Explanation of Symbols
Safety instructions: Read through these carefully and
follow them to prevent personal injury and damage to
property.
Suitable for food use.
IMPORTANT USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
■
The pan is intended to be used to prepare food on all custo-
mary stove types (electric, gas, ceramic glass and induction).
■
The pan is ovenproof up to max. 170°C.
■
For personal use only, not for commercial applications.
■
Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from
the packaging material.
■
Danger of burns! The pan becomes hot during use. Be care-
ful when carrying the pan with hot contents. Only ever hold the
pan by the handle. Use potholders or oven gloves for safety.
Never leave the hot pan within the reach of children or animals!
■
Danger of fi re! Never leave the pan unattended. Hot fat / oil
may catch fi re if it is overheated. In the event of a fi re: Do not
extinguish burning fat/oil with water, but smother the fl ames
with a fi reproof blanket or similar cloth or extinguish the fat fi re
with a suitable fi re extinguisher!

Do not overheat the pan, e.g. by heating it for a long time with
nothing in it! Overheating can result in material damage and
the production of smoke. If smoke is produced, switch off the
stove immediately, remove the pan from the hot hob and make
sure there is suffi cient ventilation in the room.

Notes on induction stoves:
– Induction stoves heat up at a faster rate than other types of
stove.
– Noises may be produced when pressure cookers are used
on induction stoves. These are caused by the electromag-
netic properties of induction stoves and induction crockery
and do not constitute a defect.
■
Check the bottom of the pan for damage before each use! Do
not use the pan if there are scratches, score marks or uneven
areas on the bottom of the pan. Do not slide the pan over the
hob! Particles of dirt could cause scratches on the bottom of
the pan and hobs. Always lift up the pan when you want to
move it! The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused
by inappropriate use!

Only use suitable frying utensils, e.g. spatulas or cooking
spoons made of wood or plastic, for frying.
■
Never pour cold water into a hot pan. The coating could be
damaged.
■
Do not allow the pan to drop or subject it to strong impacts.
■
Do not use the pan if it is damaged.
■
There may still be some production residues on the pan. Boil
water in it before you fi rst use it and clean it thoroughly (see
below).

Before Initial Use
1. Check the items supplied for completeness (see "Items Sup-
plied") and possible transport damage. If you fi nd any damage
to the components, do not use them (!), but contact our cus-
tomer service department.

Use
1. First warm the pan up a little.
2. Pour fat into the empty pan and then select the required fry-
ing/cooking temperature; this will prevent damage caused by
overheating.
3. Once the fat has spread evenly, add the food to be fried and
reduce the temperature.
4. Initially the food to be fried will stick to the pan, but after a few
seconds it will detach itself. Only then should you turn it and
fi nish frying at a lower setting.
Cleaning and Storage
PLEASE NOTE
■
Danger of burns! Allow the pan to cool completely before
cleaning it.
■
Do not use any corrosive / abrasive cleaning agents or clean-
ing pads. These can damage the surface.

Wipe down the pan with kitchen towel as soon as possible af-
ter use and clean it with mild detergent and warm water. Soak
dried-on residues in hot water.
•
Although the pan is dishwasher-safe, frequent cleaning in the
dishwasher may attack the coating and the fi ttings on the pan.
It is therefore recommended that the pan should be rinsed by
hand.
•
Store the dried pan in a dry, clean place.
