Proper use

•

The solar lights are intended for decorating outdoor areas.

Their rechargeable batteries charge during the daytime via the

solar ﬁ eld. The accumulated energy allows the LED lights to

illuminate at night.

•

The products are intended for private and not for commercial

use. Only use the products as described in the instructions.

Any other use is deemed improper. Please store this instruc-

tion manual in a safe place.

•

Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

IMPORTANT NOTES

■

Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging mate-

rial away from children and animals.

■

The products are not a toy! Keep children and animals away

from the products to avoid injury.

■

Do not disassemble the products (except for removing the re-

chargeable batteries prior to disposal). Only have the products

repaired by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by customer service.

■

If one of the rechargeable batteries leaks, make sure that the

battery acid does not come into contact with your skin, eyes

and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with the bat-

tery acid, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of

clean water and consult a physician as soon as possible.

■

Rechargeable batteries must not be disassembled, disposed

of in ﬁ re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.

■

Do not allow the products to fall or be exposed to severe im-

pact.

■

The products must not be used if they exhibit visible damages.

■

Never submerge the products in water or other liquids! They

are only splash-proof.

■

In the event of extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or

if you do not intend to use the products for a prolonged period

of time, switch them off and store them in a dry place.

■

To enable automatic activation of the LEDs, the solar lights

should not be situated near other light sources such as street

lamps or other lamps.

Start-up

•

The rechargeable batteries must charge for approxi-

mately 6 to 8 hours in order for the LEDs to illuminate.

•

The solar lights (1) can be used with or without ground

spikes.

1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective foils

or stickers. Check all parts for any damages from transport.

Contact customer service promptly in the event of transport

damage.

2. The On / Off switches are located on the bottom of the solar

lights (1). Push the On / Off switches to switch the products on.

3. When using the ground spikes, insert ground spike parts A and

B (2, 3) all the way into one another.

4. Insert the connected ground spikes with the pins in the recess-

es on the bottoms of the solar lights (1).

5. Secure the ground spikes in the ground or set up the solar

lights (1) at the desired location without the ground spikes.

Set the solar lights (1) up in a place where they can collect

direct sunlight during the whole day preferably (ideally in

open areas, not underneath trees etc.).

The rechargeable batteries can now be charged by the sunlight.

At dusk, the LEDs will automatically turn on. At dawn, the LEDs

will turn off and the rechargeable batteries will be recharged via

the solar ﬁ eld (4).

6. Push the On / Off switches again to switch the products off.

Cleaning

Ensure that the solar lights (1) are always clean in order to ensure

the greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean the solar

lights (1) occasionally with a damp cloth. Do not use corrosive or

abrasive cleaning products to clean the products! They could

damage the surfaces.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-

aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it

available to the collection service for recyclable materials.

Dispose of the products in an environmentally-friendly

manner. They do not belong in the household garbage.

Dispose of the products at a recycling centre for old elec-

trical and electronic appliances. More information is avail-

able at the administration in your community.

Rechargeable batteries must be removed and disposed of

separately before disposing of the products. To protect the

environment, batteries and rechargeable batteries must

not be disposed of together with normal household waste.

Instead they must be turned in at appropriate collection

points. Be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on

battery disposal.

Removing the rechargeable battery

Use a star-headed screwdriver to remove the screws on the round

part on the bottom of the solar lights (1) and take off the battery

compartment covers. Afterwards, you can carefully remove the

rechargeable batteries and dispose of them.
