Intended Use

The article is intended exclusively for decorative purposes and

is thus not a toy! Keep children and animals away from the

article.

•

The article is designed for personal use only and is not in-

tended for commercial applications. Use the article only for the

speciﬁ ed purpose and only as described in the instructions.

Any other use is deemed to be improper.

•

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects

caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-

tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from

children and animals.

■

Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Therefore keep batter-

ies and the article out of the reach of children and animals. If

a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.

■

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in

the battery case and on the battery are clean, and clean them

if necessary.

■

Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the technical data.

■

Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not use

batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with different

capacities. When replacing batteries, note the correct polarity

(+/–).

■

Take the batteries out of the battery case when they are dis-

charged or if the article is not being used. This will prevent any

damage that might occur if a battery leaks.

■

Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and

mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid.

If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant

fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as pos-

sible.

■

Remove a leaking battery from the battery case immediately.

Clean the contacts before you insert a new battery.

■

The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other

means, must not be dismantled, thrown into a ﬁ re, immersed in

liquids or short-circuited.

■

Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, strong tem-

perature ﬂ uctuations or moisture.

■

Maintain a sufﬁ cient distance from candles, ﬁ replaces, hobs,

or other sources of ﬁ re and heat.

■

Ensure that the article cannot fall into water.

■

If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In

the event of any damage, contact our customer service depart-

ment.

You also require 2 x 1.5 V batteries (AA type) for the light

chain. These are not supplied with the article.

Before Initial Use

Unpack the article. Check the contents against the items supplied

to ensure they are complete and have not suffered any transport

damage. If you should ﬁ nd any transport damage, do not use the

article(!), but contact the customer service department immedi-

ately. Keep hold of the packaging so that the article can be stored

in it when it is not being used.

Inserting batteries for light chain

1. Open the battery case by sliding the cover down and remove

ist.

2. Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).

3. Replace the cover again. It must be heard to engage in place.

4. Insert the battery case into the cardboard on the back of the

wreath.

Operation

1. Set the On / Off switch on the battery compartment to position

ON to switch on the light chain.

2. Hang the Christmas wreath on a hook, nail or similar or put it

on a dry and ﬂ at surface.

3. Set the On / Off switch on the battery compartment to position

OFF to switch off the light chain.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Please dispose of

it in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a

recycling centre.

Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly man-

ner. It should not be disposed of in the normal domestic

waste. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for used electrical

and electronic devices. You can obtain more information

from your local authorities.

The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the

article and disposed of separately from the article. To pro-

tect the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable

batteries may not be disposed of with normal household

waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points. Also

note the relevant statutory regulations governing the dis-

posal of batteries.
