System Memory

PowerEdge R815 and R715 systems configured with two memory modules per
channel support up to 1600 MHz memory.
NOTE:

System Memory Update—PowerEdge R815
4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB single- and dual-rank RDIMMs support speeds up to
1600 MHz.
32 GB quad-rank RDIMMs support speeds up to 1066 MHz.
Up to 1 TB of memory (using 32 GB RDIMMs) is supported.
Description
Options are OS Control, Custom, and
Maximum Performance. The BIOS pre-
configures the power settings on this screen as
follows:
• OS Control sets the processor power to OS
DBPM, the fan power to Minimum Power,
and the memory power to Maximum
Performance. In this setting, all processor
performance information is passed from the
system BIOS to the operating system for
control. The operating system sets the
processor performance based on processor
utilization.
• Maximum Performance sets all fields to
Maximum Performance.
• If you select Custom, you can configure each
option independently.
