4. Before using the appliance, make sure it is at least 4-6"
away from any obstacles.
5. There may be a slight smell and some smoke the first
time the appliance is used. This is normal and temporary.
Make sure there is sufficient ventilation.
Save these instructions in a safe
place for future reference.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• DO NOT USE vegetable oil or a cooking spray on cook-
ing surfaces. The non-stick plates do not require the use of
oils or cooking spray.
• Keep the Edible Spoon Maker closed. Plug the power
cord into 120 volt electrical outlet.
• Keep unit closed and preheat for approximately 2 minutes
and 30 seconds until 'Red' ready light turns on.
• The 'Red' power light will illuminate as the heating
surface heats.
• The appliance must be pre-heated before using.
• As soon as the appliance is ready, the 'Green' ready light
will turn on.
• You can now begin using the appliance. Open the appli-
ance using the front handle only.
• Carefully pour batter evenly in the center of the spoon
shaped molds on the cooking plate.
• CAUTION: If too much batter is used the appliance will
become difficult to close. To remedy this, remove some of
the filling. Never force this appliance to close when it is
over filled.
• Close the lid slowly by lowering the upper plate onto the
lower plate.
• Depending on the batter mix used, the spoons should be
ready in 7-12 minutes.

• Once the batter mix has a light golden brown appearance,
carefully remove from the cooking plate using a plastic or
wooden spatula.
• If you wish to bake more, remove any excess crumbs or
batter, close the appliance again and wait until the heating
surfaces have reheated sufficiently.
• When the 'Green' ready light illuminates again, the baking
process can be repeated as described above.
• When done using the unit, disconnect the electric plug
immediately. Keep the appliance open allowing it to cool
down.
• Caution: The heating surfaces as well as the sides and
top of this appliance may get very hot. Avoid contact with
these hot areas by only using the handles and an oven mitt.
SPOON DOUGH RECIPE
2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, separated
1 cup of milk
Add corn flour to make them less soft.
CLEANING & CARE
• Do not clean the appliance until it is completely cooled off.
• Always clean your appliance after each use to prevent a
build up of batter.
• Always disconnect the power plug from the wall outlet
before cleaning.
• Clean the unit only when it has completely cooled off.
