Operating Instructions

1. Press the power button

2. The device will then indicate the battery level as High

Low

3. The device will then proceed to warm up

4. The device is ready to take a test when it shows "go"

5. Get the subject to blow into the device blow cap from a distance of 2 to 3 cm

away from the sampling hole.

6. The test result will be displayed in two modes:

• Passive mode: Results will be displayed as Zero

• Normal mode: Results will be displayed in 2 decimal format from 0.00 to

0.10 %BAC

(equivalent to 0.50mg/L or 0.10%BAC or 100mg/100mL)

*Results higher than 0.10% BAC will be displayed as "HI"

3-digit result display.

Note: In normal mode testing, results may be affected by sampling distance,

angle, flow rate, and strength.

Press and hold the power button from switched off mode, to see the last test "L"

result e.g.

When switched on, press and hold power button to switch off the unit. It will show

OUT.

Manual mode testing

This mode can be used if the subject is unable to breathe out hard enough, or to

check the alcohol content of a drink. To use this mode:

1. Place the unit sampling hole as close as possible to the subject's mouth or

the drink's contents without touching.

2. Press the power button

3. Results will be displayed as Zero
