Student should exhibit a high degree of knowledge of the proper methods for data
entry, communication/navigation frequency selection, flight plan entry, in-flight
routing changes, approach selection and activation, indicator annunciation and
flight data display configuration for the various phases of IFR flight. The in-
structor should not have to provide any operational suggestions and the student
should be able to quickly and confidently make the correct changes to the GNS
530/430 as required.
