Proper use

❐ The product is intended for decorating indoor and outdoor areas.

The storage battery of the solar unit charges during the daytime

via the solar cell ﬁ eld. The accumulated energy allows the LED

light to illuminate in the dark.

❐ The product is designed for private use and is not intended for

commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other

use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

❐ Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts

at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

Important notes

❐ Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material

away from children and animals.

❐ The product is not a toy! Keep children and animals away from

the product to avoid injury.

❐ Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the storage

battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only have the product

repaired by a qualiﬁ ed workshop or by customer service.

❐ If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid does

not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous mem-

branes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected

areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek immediate

medical attention.

❐ Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in ﬁ re,

immersed in liquids or short circuited.

❐ Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe

percussions.

❐ Do not use the product if it exhibits damages.

❐ Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only

splash-proof.

❐ In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or

if you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of

time, turn it off and store it in a dry place.

❐ To enable an automatic activation of the LED light the product

should not be situated near other light sources such as street

lamps or other lamps.

❐ Ensure that the solar ﬁ eld is always clean in order to ensure the

greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean it occasion-

ally with a damp cloth.

❐ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to clean

the product! They could damage the surface.

Start-up

The storage battery of the solar unit must charge for ap-

proximately 6 to 8 hours in order for the LED light to

illuminate.

Upon delivery, the ground spike is located in an inverted

position in the shaft of the solar light!

1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils

(e.g. from the solar ﬁ eld). Check all parts for any damages from

transport. Should you identify any transport damages, please

promptly consult customer service.

2. Position the solar lights in a place where the solar ﬁ eld can col-

lect direct sunlight during the whole day preferably (ideally in

open areas, not underneath trees etc.). You have three options

to place the solar light:

a) Place the solar lights on the base (without ground spike) and

in the desired setup location.

b) Use the ground spike to place the solar light in the garden,

ﬂ ower bed etc.: To do so, insert the ground spike in the solar light

shaft. Afterwards, insert the assembled solar light shaft in the

base. Now you can put the solar lights in the ground.

c) Use the hook to hang the solar lights up.

3. The On/Off switch is located on the bottom side of the solar unit.

Turn the solar unit off of the light head and set the On/Off switch

to the ON position to activate the solar unit: Sunlight will now

charge the storage battery of the solar unit. At dusk, the light

will automatically turn on. At dawn, the light will turn off and the

storage battery will be recharged via the solar ﬁ eld. Afterwards,

place the solar unit back on the light head and turn it until tight.

4. To turn the solar unit off, set the On/Off switch to the OFF posi-

tion.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-

aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it

available to the collection service for recyclable materials.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-

ner. The product does not belong in the household garbage.

Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric and elec-

tronic equipment. For more information, please contact the

administration in your community.

Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-

posed of separately before disposing of the product. To pro-

tect the environment, batteries and storage batteries may

not be disposed of together with normal household waste.

Instead they must be turned in at appropriate collection

points. Be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on

battery disposal. Removing the storage battery: Loosen

the screws on the bottom side of the solar unit and remove

the cover. Afterwards, you can carefully remove the storage

battery and dispose of it.
