^ Clean the filter

– by hand: with a soft nylon brush,

warm water and a little washing up

liquid.

– in a dishwasher: place the filter

with the short side upright in the

lower basket, ensuring the spray arm

is not obstructed.

Depending on the cleaning agent

used, cleaning the grease filter in a

dishwasher can cause permanent

discolouration to the surface.

However, this will not affect the func-

tioning of the grease filter in any way.

^ After cleaning, leave the filter to dry

for a while on an absorbent surface

before putting it back in place.

^ When cleaning the vapour plate,

please follow the instructions given

under "Housing" earlier in this sec-

tion.

^ With the vapour plate and grease fil-

ter removed, clean off any residues of

oil or fat from the now accessible

housing and channel on the lower

housing to prevent the risk of these

catching fire.

^ After replacing the vapour plate and

grease filter press the grease filter

touch control for approx. 3 seconds

to re-set the operating hours counter.

The indicator lamp will go out.

^ If the vapour plate and grease filter

are cleaned before the operating

hours counter has reached its maxi-

mum, the grease filter touch control

should be pressed for approx. 6 sec-

onds to reset the counter to zero.

Cleaning and care

^ Push the grease filter into position un-

til it engages.

^ Hook the vapour plate into the bottom

of the housing, push it slightly to the

left and then raise it up towards the

appliance and click it into position.
