OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- If you would like to perform another test, wait until the result has finished
flashing, then press the power button once to restart the countdown cycle.
- If no action is taken, the device will automatically switch off after 3 minutes of
inactivity.
- To switch off the device, hold down the power button for more than 3 seconds.
Note: Wait at least 30 minutes after eating, drinking or smoking
before taking a test.
CHANGING THE MEASUREMENT UNIT
To change the measurement unit between %BAC, mg/L, mg/100mL or ‰,
do the following:
1. Press the power button to switch on the device.
2. While it is counting down, press the power button 5 times. The screen
will display "unit" and the current measurement unit below it (e.g. %BAC).
3. Press the power button until your preferred measurement unit is selected.
4. Once selected, hold down the power button for 2 seconds to save the
setting. The device will then continue counting down before entering
test mode.
Step 1. Press the power button to switch on the device.
The total number of tests performed will display on the
screen, followed by the result of the previous test.
Step 2. The device will start to warm up and the
countdown will display on the screen.
Step 3. When the countdown reaches "0", the device will
emit a double beep and 3 dashes (≡) will display on the
screen along with "BLOW". Take a deep breath and then
blow into the device with a slow and steady breath. Only
stop blowing when you hear the double beep again.
Step 4. When the sampling has been completed
successfully, you will see lines rotating around the
LCD screen as the device analyses your breath sample.
Step 5. Your estimated BAC results will be displayed after
a few seconds and remain on the screen for 10 seconds
(the button will be deactivated during this time).
