Why won't my disc play?

There are several possible causes:
• Make sure there is a disc in the disc tray.
• Insert the disc correctly with the playback side facing front in the disc tray.
• Clean the disc.
• Condensation may have formed inside the unit due to a sudden change
in temperature. Wait about an hour for it to clear and try again.
• Check the back of the DVD box to see if it states that the DVD is for PC
DVDs. Not all DVD players can play PC DVDs.There are some DVDs that
can read CD-X formats as well as CD-R and CD Extra.
Do not use irregularly shaped discs such as heart or star-shaped discs, as
they may cause the DVD player to malfunction.
Do not stick paper, tape or glue on the disc.
NOTES:
Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heat sources.
Do not touch the surface of disc. Handle the disc by its edge.
Clean the disc by wiping the disc from the center out with a clean cloth.
Refer to any instructions supplied with the discs for additional features.
The number of languages available depends upon the disc. This function
Rating You cannot play DVDs rated higher than the level
you selected unless you cancel the parental lock
function.
The parental lock level is equivalent to the following
ratings:
Level 1: G
Level 4: R
Default Select to Reset the DVD player to its factory default
settings.
Level 2: PG
