Assembly

Metering gears

NOTE

Position gear with magnets († Fig. 5).

Before assembly verify gears rotate

and do not bind. Manually turn gears

through three rotations to verify free

movement.

Meter will not function properly if

gears are incorrectly installed.

1 Install gear (5) with magnets into

housing (3). Make sure to locate gear

properly in housing († Fig. 4, page 6).

2 Place second gear into housing. Verify

gear engages magnet gear as shown.

3 Rotate gear assembly by hand to make

sure gear teeth are properly engaged.

4 Install and seat o-ring (4) into oval

groove in housing.

5 Position housing cover (6) onto housing.

6 Install washers (7) and screws (8) that

secure housing cover to housing.

7 Tighten screws in a criss-cross pattern

to 90 in-lbf (10.2 Nm).

Switch module

8 Position switch module (1) onto housing.

9 Install screws (2) that secure switch

module to housing. Do not overtighten.
