CAUTION: Do not operate this fireplace without the
screen door panel securely in place. For replacement
part information see Parts, page 16.
WARNING: If appliance has been running, turn
off appliance. Let cool before removing screen door.
Removing Screen Door
If replacement of screen door is necessary, the entire frame assembly
must be replaced.
1. Open bottom access panel.
Note: Use the index finger of both hands when opening access
panel by inserting them thru the access panel holes to grab the
access panel, then simultaneously pull it towards you.
2. Remove Deflector hood, refer to Installing/Removing Hood on
page 8, Figure 7.
3. Unlock 2 door latches on top of firebox using your fingers or
the latch opener provided.
4. Hook opener over latch as shown in Figure 11. Swing the bot-
tom of the opener down toward the door. You will not need to
pull down.
5. Tilt open screen door 45° from the top of firebox and lift up to
release door from retaining channel (see Figure 12).
Replacing Screen Door
1. Position door frame in front of firebox opening tilting top of door
about 45° toward you. Insert bottom flange of screen door into
the retaining channel at the bottom of firebox (see Figure 12).
Make sure door is center with firebox opening.
2. Tilt top of door up toward top of firebox.
3. Secure 2 top door latches.
4. Secure deflector Hood.
GLASS NUGGETS INSTALLATION
WARNING: Do not change or substitute glass nug-
gets provided with this appliance. If replacing, use
only replacement glass nuggets. See Replacement
Parts page 15.
Glass nuggets are included with your appliance.
1. Remove screen door, refer to Removing /Replacing Screen Door.
2. Place glass nuggets in a single layer evenly on the nuggets pan.
Make sure not to place any inside the burner fuel tray (See
Figure 14).
Removing and Cleaning Interior Wall Porcelain Enamel
1. Remove screen door from front of fireplace. Refer to Removing/
Replacing Screen Door, when removing screen door.
2. Unscrew 4 corner brackets from the firebox top (See Figure 13).
3. Remove 2 side walls and then the rear wall.
4. Wash interior porcelain enamel walls with detergent and warm
water and rinse. Do not use abrasive pads or scouring powders
as these will scratch the glassy surface.
