Installation

The Filtersepta should be installed within the bunded area were ever possible and

positioned so that the outlet is above the bund wall height, for connection to the discharge.

If this is not practical, then the Filtersepta can be positioned outside the bund.

The FilterSepta is fitted with Lifting handles on the sides of the unit for locating the

FilterSepta and a suitable length of appropriate material can be threaded through the

centre of these to make lifting and manoeuvring easier.

Important Safety Notes

The unit should not be move with full liquid.

If the Filtersepta must be mounted of the ground to allow the discharge to clear the Bund

wall then it must be support over the entire length and width of the base, the unit is

supplied on a plastic pallet for this very purpose.

If positioned outside the bund the overflow outlet must be cap off to prevent unwanted

discharge.

The integrated high level and oil level sensors must also be connected to the BundGuard

unit to prevent pumping, should the unit become blocked or fail to cope with the inlet

flow. This is particularly important when the system is mounted outside the bund.

The connection to the Filtersepta oil level and high-level sensors is via an IP66 Junction box

located externally at the rear of the unit and screw terminals are provided for the

connections. A 2 core 0.75mm CSA cable should be used for these connections. The unit

can be connected to any of the BundGuard systems and connection details for both current

versions available is detailed in the following sections.

To remove junction box lid, quarter turn the screws, that are position at each corner of the

junction box, the arrow on these should be turned from the "1" to the "0" position and

return to the "1" position when refitting the lid. M20x1.5mm gland entry holes are

provided in the sides of the junction box, fitting and tightening the gland removes the

plastic lugs within the gland opening, therefore no drilling of the junction box is required.
