Instruction supplement
Installing the operator handle
Make sure the tool is disconnected from the cable before dismantling.
Required tools:
• Screwdriver
• Allen key
This instruction describes installation of an operator handle with cable.
Only perform step 3 if installing an operator handle without cable.
1. Remove the protective cover by hand.
2. Unscrew the screws from the lid on top of the tool using a screwdriver and
remove the lid.
3. Put the new handle in position as shown in the picture. Tighten the screws
slightly using an allen key.
a) Tighten the handle with the shorter screws when you have a tool without
a fan.
b) Tighten the handle with the longer screws and the washers when you
have a tool with a fan.
4. Lead the cable on the left side of the tool when the tool front points against
you. Connect the cable to the bus port on the circuit board on top of the
tool.
5. Put the lid with a slot in position.
Make sure the cable is placed in the slot before you tighten the screws.
Tighten the lid with screws.
6. Loosen the screws slightly in front of the tringular holder and remove the
plug on the opposite side of the handle.
7. Pull the cable carefully from the inside of the plug hole until it is stretched.
8. Insert the cable into the hole and put the plug back in position. Tighten the
screws in front of the tringular holder.
9. Put the protective cover back in position.
Loosen the screw in front of the tringular holder and adjust the handle
to optional position. Tighten the screw at recommended torque.
