(10) Temperature Alarms
The Coastal MK II is equipped with a buzzer to sound an alarm if the temperature exceeds the set point by the maximum
and minimum values as entered in A1 and A2 in the ALA menu. See
values so that the alarm feature is effectively disarmed. The alarms can be activated by adjusting the values of A1 and/or A2 to the
desired number of degrees above or below the Set Point at which the alarm will operate.
The alarm is set to become operational 3.0 hours after the system is started. This can be adjusted in A6.
The alarm is set to activate 0.5 hours after the threshold set in A1 or A2 is reached. This can be adjusted in A7.
An alarm can be silenced by pressing the Set and DOWN buttons together.
(11) General Reset
A General Reset should only be used as an emergency measure if the programming becomes corrupted. This action will
return all settings to the original factory defaults. It will then be required to reinstall the Coastal values as shown in
1.
Press Set for 8 seconds. "0" is shown on display. Press Set again, "CON" is displayed.
2.
Press DOWN arrow. Display shows "Ini". Press Set "Hor" is displayed.. Press UP arrow until "HO" is displayed
3.
Press Set; "O" is displayed and flashes. Press Set for 8 seconds and general reset is activated.
(12) Programming
The Coastal MK II is a multi-purpose device with many features that are not appropriate for marine refrigeration use, and
so only the relevant program parameters are shown below. Complete instructions are available on request.
There are five menus. Within each menu there are numerous parameters that can be adjusted. Menu names are as follows, in
sequence:
1.
"CON" (Compressor) – Sets parameters for compressor.
2.
"dEF" (Defrost) – Not used. Deactivated by setting d2 to 0.
3.
"PrO" (Probe) – Sets parameters for temperature probe (sensor).
4.
"ALA" (Alarm) – Provides settings for alarms.
5.
"Ini" (Initialization) – Advanced parameters.
To select menus:
Press Set for 8 seconds – "0" flashes. Press and release Set, first menu name (CON) is shown. Press UP or
Down button to scroll through the five menu names. To exit menu list - press Set and Down together or wait one minute.
To select and adjust parameters
code will be displayed. Press UP or DOWN buttons until required parameter code is shown then press Set; parameter value is
displayed. Use UP or DOWN buttons to adjust parameter value, then press Set to enter. To exit parameters and return to menu list,
press Set and DOWN together or wait one minute.
