TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM
3. S creen will not move "up."
Motor does not hum.
Motor hums.
4. S craping or grinding noise.
5. G ear noise.
6. F abric rubbing.
7 . I ncorrect stopping point in
upward position.
8. I ncorrect stopping point in
downward direction.
CAUSE
(a) B lown fuse or tripped circuit
breaker.
(b) N o power between red and white
leads in junction box.
(c) T hermal overload tripped.
(d) Burned out motor winding.
(e) Temporary binding.
(f) Burned out capacitor.
(g) B roken wire or loose connection
in "up" position circuit.
(a) I f metal shipping bracket is left at-
tached to screen, it may be rub-
bing on motor end of roller.
(a) G ear may need lubrication.
(a) N ormal condition.
N OTE: Screens with ironing boards
have fabric that drags across the
board.

SOLUTION
(a) R eplace fuse or reset circuit
breaker.
(b) C orrect improper wiring.
(c) L et motor cool for 15 minutes. Try
again.
(d) C heck for power between red
and white motor leads. Replace
motor if there is power.
(e) W ith power off, turn roller by
hand to free binding.
(f) R eplace capacitor.
(g) S ecure connection or replace
wire.
(a) R emove shipping bracket.
(a) A pply grease.
(a) L ift bottom edge up and over
roller.
