1.0 INTRODUCTION
This booklet describes instructions for the use and maintenance of the MICRA serie water pumps, both single phase (M) and three phase (T).
The MICRA electropumps has been designed to pump clean water not containing abrasive particles.
Before installing and using the pump, read the following instructions carefully. The manufacturer declines any responsability in case of acci-
dents or damages caused by negligence or lack of observance of the instructions described in this booklet or use of the pump under conditions
that differ from the ratings on the nameplate.
The installation of the pump should be in compliance with the instructions of the local authorities and with the rules in force. The manufac-
turer declines any responsability in case of damages due to improper use of the pump.
2.0 DESCRIPTION
The submersible electropump MICRA is a multistage subsermible pump and is supplied in the following range and power:
MICRA 50 M
MICRA 75 M
MICRA 100 M
The code M or T after the numbers 50, 75 and 100 means that the pump is single phase (M) (standard 230V/50 HZ) or three phase (T)
(standard 400/50HZ). Specify always at the moment of the order confirmation the type of pumps as well as the number of the phases, the
voltage and the frequency.
3.0 STOCKING AND HANDLING
At the moment of the delivery, always check that the pump has not been damaged during the transport and that it is in his original packing.
The pump, because of his lenght, should not be exposed to unncessary impacts and shocks. During handling, the pump should be lifted in the
motor part and the pump part at the same time. The pump should be stored in a place where the temperature does not fall under 0° C, as
the motor liquid may have been wholly or partially replaced by the pumped liquid. The max room temperature should not be over +60°C
and below - 20°C.
4.0 CONDITIONS OF USE - WORKING LIMITS
The electropump should be used observing the following conditions:
•
Max. depth:
•
Max temperature of pumping liquid:
•
Voltage variation allowed (230V single phase / 400V three phase)
•
Max: starts per hour:
•
Max sand content allowed in the water:
CAUTION: the pump is not suitable for pumping: liquid containing abrasives and liquid with solid fibrous substances.
CAUTION: the pump is not suitable for pumping inflammable or explosive liquids.
CAUTION: the electropump does not correspond to the EN60335-2-60 specification, therefore it can not be used swimmingpools or garden ponds.
5.0 PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
•
Check that the data on the nameplate are according to your needs, in partcular that the electrical data (voltage, phase number, fre-
•
Check, in the case of a preinstalled control box, that it is suitable with he pump to connect. In particular check that the amperometic
protection and (in case of a single phase pump) the capacitor value are the same of the one stamped on the nameplate.
•
CAUTION: a wrong value of the capacitor could case big anomalies in the use of the pump and, in some case, its irrimediable damage.
•
The motor is supplied already filled with its cooling liquid. If there are visible sights of leak in the packing or somewhere else, please
contact a Tesla service centre.
6.0 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Caution: I the eletrical connections should be carried out by authorised and qualifed electrician in compliance with local regulations.
Both for single fase and three phase applications, a further thermal protection on the control box (in addition to the interior one in the
motors for sigle phase pumps) must be installed: for cold motors, the trip time for the motor starter muss be less that 10 second at 5 times the
rated current of the motor.
CAUTION: the thermal relay setting is the rated current f the motor (or max value of the pump where reported) incrased of the 5%
CAUTION: the calibration data of the thermal relays refer normally to room temperature of 20°C. In case of use of thermal relays without
room temperature compensation, the temperature should be considered in order to choose the calibration value avoiding abnormal acts. For
