Usage:

The Quick-20 is designed to be a robust, durable headset suitable for recordings in real-world

environments. To keep your Quick-20 functioning optimally, take note of the following items:

1. Avoid excessively bending the legs or earband - The Quick-20 relies on a flexible

material of the legs to deflect conform across the variations in human head size and

shapes. Do not grab and deliberately bend the legs or band beyond the range that

would normally be encountered in usage.

3. Never connect the Quick-20 to a standard USB port - The microUSB port on the

Quick-20 is designed to work only with Cognionics accessories, which provide

electrical isolation to protect the headset and subject. Connecting the Quick-20 to a

PC (without the wired data dongle) or USB wall charger may damage the headset.

Cleaning:

The headset should be cleaned with the provided electric brush (Fig. 1).

Apply just enough Clear Purell or 70% isopropyl alcohol to dampen the

bristles of the electric brush and begin cleaning the headset (Fig. a)

Applying too much isopropyl alcohol may cause the headset to

malfunction until it is completely dried. Using any liquid other than Clear

Purell or isopropyl alcohol may leave residue and cause the headset to

malfunction and give incorrect impedance values.

Begin cleaning the headset with the sensors still inserted. The headset is designed to be

cleaned this way. Figure b shows proper technique for cleaning the sensors with the electric

brush.
