The shot image is transferred to your computer and is displayed in ZoomBrowser EX.
Alternatively, you can press the camera's shutter button to take a shot.
If you select the [File] menu
[Exit], EOS Utility exits, including the camera settings
window.
If the camera is not ready for shooting (the lens is not attached, etc.), you cannot
perform the operation as explained.
When you are using auto focus, you cannot take shots if the camera cannot focus. In
this case, focus manually.
Bulb exposure is not available.
Alternatively, you can press the space bar to take a shot.
The number of available shots changes depending on the available capacity on your
computer's hard disk. Check the Shots to Go display (p.4-3).
The transfer time to the computer of RAW images shot remotely is approximately 4 to
7 seconds.
• The above time is only an estimate. Transfer times vary widely depending on the
camera model used, the type of computer, and the subject of the photo.
• Transfer times are based on Canon testing standards.
(When using the following: OS: Windows XP, CPU: 2.2 GHz Pentium 4; RAM: 512MB)
• The times for images shot in JPEG will be shorter than those shown above.
You can change the software that starts up when you download images, from
ZoomBrowser EX to Digital Photo Professional (p.4-3).

Timer Shooting

You can automatically take a shot when the specified time elapses.
You can rotate and download the
shot images regardless of the
camera position. Each time you click

the button, the image rotates 90°.

[Rotate image] in the [Remote

Interval Timer Shooting

You can automatically take shots by setting the interval between shots and the number of shots
to be taken.

On some types of computers, if you set a short interval between shots and there is
insufficient time to download and save the images, it may not be possible to take shots at
the specified interval. In this case, set a longer interval between shots and take the shots
again.
Select the [Tool] menu
[Timer shooting]
The [Timer shooting setting] dialog box appears.
Enter a delay time and click the [Start] button.
Enter a value between 0 seconds and 99 minutes 59 seconds in 1-second
increments.
The shot is taken when the specified time elapses.
Select the [Tool] menu
[Timer shooting].
The [Timer shooting setting] dialog box appears.
Checkmark the [Interval timer shooting].
Enter the shooting interval and the number of shots. Then click
the [Start] button.
Enter a value between 5 seconds and 99 minutes 59 seconds in 1-second
increments.
For EOS-1D series cameras, the number of shots is 2 to maximum 1999; for cameras
other than the EOS-1D series cameras, the number of shots is 2 to maximum 999.
Shooting is performed at the specified interval and for the specified number of shots.
