5.2.2. Hollow shaft designs: KTD 2-... A 4 L
• Observe the dimensional drawing in chapter 8.
• Radial runout error of the drive shaft must not exceed 0.05 mm.
• The drive shaft should be lightly greased respectively protected against corrosion.
1. Secure mounting kit (torque arm) at mounting hole Ø5H7. Alternative attach-
ment is using a pin (provided by customer) which is to be fixed at bore Ø5H7.
2. Slide the tachogenerator onto the drive shaft.
Note: slide tachogenerator smoothly onto drive shaft, do not apply force.
Where required, verify the drive shaft diameter.
3. Attach mounting kit (torque arm) at motor (B-side) without applying mechanical
strain.
4. Remove the housing cover of the tacho generator.
5. Attach tachogenerator onto drive shaft and secure by M4 screw.
Note: Attach tachogenerator shaft under load to drive shaft, make sure the
torque arm is not under preload.
Note: The housing may be left open for the time of electrical commissioning.
6. Assemble the housing cover.
• Note: Observe the tightening torques of the mounting screws..
• Important! All screws need to be secured!
• Risk of destruction due to mechanical overstrain
A rigid connection may cause overload by constraint force.
