2.6 nrgCONTROL nrgNET Connectivity

nrgNET is the Amphenol Network Solutions proprietary communication link between nrgSMART panels and the

nrgCONTROL controller. The connection uses a single cable with four conductors to provide power and data

communication.

WARNING! Failure to disconnect power prior to connecting nrgSMART PDUs will damage the nrgCONTROL-BT.

Power should be removed prior to connecting panels and servicing.

1. Remove the nrgNET connectors from the nrgNET OUT 1 and nrgNET OUT 2 on the rear of the nrgCONTROL-BT.

2. Insert the two service links provided into the nrgNET OUT 1 and nrgNET OUT 2 on the rear of the nrgCONTROL-BT

as shown in Fig. 7. Service links should be secured to the tie bar using the tie wraps provided. Insert the tie wrap

through the slots in the tie bar on each side of the service link and tighten to secure in place.

3. For nrgNET wiring — wiring used to daisy chain the nrgCONTROL-BT panel to the attached nrgSMART panels

(PDUs) — do the following:

a. Strip

-inch of insulation away from the four conductor wires in the nrgNET cable.

b. Insert the wires into the connector and tighten the screws to hold the wires in place making sure to

connect the proper wire to the pins as illustrated in nrgNET pin outs table and in Fig. 7.

c. Insert the connector into the open end of the service link on the rear of the nrgCONTROL-BT.

4. nrgNET cables can be dressed to the tie bar using the tie wraps provided.
