Bef ore st art ing t o conf igure t he device, you have t o connect your devices
correct ly.
A hierarchical net work wit h minimum levels of devices may reduce t he t iming
delay bet ween server and client st at ion. Basically, t his approach will minimize
t he number of devices in any one pat h; will lower t he possibilit y of net work loop,
and will improve net work ef f iciency. If more t han t wo devices are connect ed in
t he same net work, select one device as a Level 1 device and connect all ot her
devices t o it at Level 2. Server/ Host is recommended t o connect t o t he Level 1
device. This is generally if no VLAN or ot her special requirement s are applied.
All device port s are in t he same local area net work.
