Choice of post driver
The A/C range of the LPD is a heavy-duty,
hydraulic powered post drivers designed for the
ramming of various types of sign posts, wood
piles and steel profiles into the ground. The
LPD post driver can be equipped with built-in
control valve, or a remote control valve.
The LPD equipped with built-in control valve
is intended for use on an Open - Centre
hydraulic system. LPD equipped with a remote
control valve is intended for use on either
Open-Centre
or
Closed-Centre
sy stems.
Year of manufacture: See the ID-tag.
Correct working methods
Note:
Low /High
Temperatures. In
conditions, warm up the post driver by light use
for a few minutes before starting work.
Always use the correct adaptors for the post
and for the driver.
1. Place the appropriate adaptor in the front head
of t he LPD by pulling up the adaptor release ring
and slide the adaptor. Release the adaptor
release ring and ensure that the adaptor is
properly secured in the front head of the LPD.
2. Remove the protective caps from the quick -
release couplings.
3. Clean the quick-release couplings if needed
and connect the tail-hoses to the extension
hoses of the power source (see operating
manual of the power source).
4. Slide the post into the LPD as shown.
5. Lift the post and driver to a vertical position as
shown. For long and heavy posts, two persons may
be required.

6. Activate the trigger. When the LPD is within reach,
grasp the handles.
7 When driving, make sure you are able to keep safely
balanced. Keep arms and legs clear of the post, if a
post breaks during operation the post driver with a
projecting broken shank will suddenly drop.
8 Avoid activating the post driver when it is
removed from the post and ground. This will lead to
increased hydraulic oil temperatures and seal wear.
9 DO NOT invert the post driver without first isolating
the hydraulic supply.
11 Do not continue to work if the hoses vibrate
abnormally.
cold
12 Do not "ride" the machine, e.g. with one leg slung
over the handle. This could result in injury, especially if
the tool were to break.
13 Investigate the contents of the material in which you
are going to work. Look out for hidden cables and
pipes, e.g. electricity, telephone, water, gas, or sewage
lines.
14 If you suspect that the post has struc k a hidden
object, stop the machine immediately. Make sure there
is no danger before continuing with the work.
15 Only use the machine for the jobs for which it is
intended.
Be alert
Always concentrate on what you are doing. Use
common sense. Never operate the machine when you
are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
other substances which might affect your vision,
reaction ability or judgments.
