When needed, wipe the product off with a dust cloth.

■

Keep the product in its original packaging out of the reach of

children and animals in a dry, clean place that is protected from

direct sunlight.

■

Only use the supplied or a manufacturer-recommended remote

control to switch the product on and off.

Product contents

1 x wooden Christmas star

•

1 x LED light chain with remote control

•

2 x battery (1.5 volt, type AA) for the light chain

•

1 x battery (3 volt, type CR2025) for the remote control (already

inserted)

Prior to ﬁ rst use

1. Unpack the product. Check that the product contents are

complete and that they do not exhibit any transport damages.

Should you identify any transport damages, do not use the

product (!), instead please promptly consult the customer

service. Hold onto the packaging to store the product when

not in use.

2. The battery is already inserted in the remote control when

delivered and has a transport guard. Take the protective strip

out of the remote control.

3. Open the Christmas star and insert the batteries in the battery

box (see "Inserting / changing batteries" chapter, "Light chain"

section).

Inserting / changing batteries

Light chain

1. Open the Christmas star by carefully releasing the front and

back side and removing the front side.

2. Open the battery box by pushing the battery box cover towards

the cable. ATTENTION: The light chain and thus the battery

box are glued to the back side of the Christmas star and cannot

be removed completely!

3. Take off the cover and insert the batteries. In the process,

make sure that the polarity is correct (+ / –).

4. Place the cover back on the battery box and push it until it

locks into place.

5. Place the battery box back in the middle of the Christmas star.

6. Close the Christmas star by mounting the front side on the

back side again and ﬁ rmly pushing it down.

7. Select a place, where you want to hang the star and install the

desired mounting materials there. Please be absolutely sure

to observe the safety notes on proper handling of the product.

Remote control

The batteries have already been inserted upon delivery and

have been provided with a transport guard. Remove the

protective strip before ﬁ rst use.

1. Open the battery compartment on the back side of the remote

control.

2. If necessary, remove the used battery and insert a new 3 V

battery (type CR2025). In the process, make sure that the

polarity is correct (+/–).

3. Then close the battery compartment.

Operation

You can now activate and deactivate the light chain in the

Christmas star using the remote control.

1. Push the ON button on the remote control to activate the light

chain.

2. Push the OFF button on the remote control to turn the light

chain off.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the

packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and

make it available to the collection service for recyclable

materials.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly

manner. The product does not belong in the household

garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric

and electrical equipment. For more information, please

contact the administration in your community.

Batteries must be removed and disposed of separately

before disposing of the product. To protect the environment,

batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed

of together with normal household waste. Instead they

must be turned in at appropriate collection points. Please

also observe applicable statutory provisions regulating the

disposal of batteries.
