section 4: receiver connections and MoUntinG, continUed.....
To mount the receiver into your model and route and install the two antenna wires, follow the steps below:
1) Carefully wrap the receiver in protective foam rubber to protect it against vibration.
2) Mount the receiver into your model using your favorite method to secure it into place.
3) Route and install the two antenna wires inside your model as illustrated in the diagram below.
The receiver should be mounted securely in your model and the receiver antenna wires installed per the diagram below. The
receiver antenna wires should be mounted to a wood or plastic non-conductive part of your model and angled so that the
antenna reception wires (thin, silver-colored antenna tips) are positioned 90º apart. Failure to mount the receiver antenna wires
as described can result in poor reception, or in some cases, complete loss of reception.
The coaxial cables can be mounted parallel to each other, but under
no circumstances should the antenna reception wires be mounted
parallel to each other. In addition, it's okay if the coaxial cables cross each
other, as long as the reception wires are positioned at a 90º angle to each
other. The farther apart you can position the reception wires, the better.

Tape can be used to secure the antenna reception wires to your model. Alternatively, cut two short pieces of plastic tube and
slide one antenna reception wire into each piece of tube, then tape or glue the tube to your model. The tubes will protect the
antenna reception wires from damage. See diagram above.
section 5: UsinG tHe sUrFace MenU
After connecting your airborne components and mounting the receiver into your model, use the SURFACE menu to adjust your
model's controls.
For detailed information about using the SURFACE menu, including how to change the various SURFACE menu options and how
they affect your model, see the following section in your SD-10G User's Guide:
Surface Menu .........................................................................Pages 63 ~ 66
The control adjustments that can be made to each channel include:
REV - Servo Reversing
CENT - Servo Centering (Sub-Trim)
EPA - Servo End Point Adjustments
LIMT - Servo Travel Limit (High Side)
LIMT - Servo Travel Limit (Low Side)
The Channel Numbers and Abbreviations displayed along the top of the screen correspond to what receiver channel slots you
should plug your servos into and will vary based on the Model Type selection options you choose in the SYSTEM>TYPE menu.
In some cases, depending on how the servos are mounted in your model and in what direction the servo arms are installed,
you may need to swap the servo connections in the receiver channel slots and/or reverse one channel to obtain correct
control stick/control surface movement. For example, when 2xEL is chosen in the TYPE menu, you may need to Reverse one
elevator channel and/or swap the Left Elevator and Right Elevator servo connections so that both elevator halves move Up and
Down together. This may also be necessary when WING>DELTA is chosen and when TAIL>V-TAIL is chosen in the TYPE menu.
