IMPORTANT:
Before using your DARCHE Retreat for the first time, you may have to make
a simple modification to your 180 or 270 Awning.
An 8mm (5/16") hole needs to be drilled on the inside of the 2 main perpendicular
rafter arms.
A cut-out template is provided at the back of this manual to ensure that the holes are
drilled in the correct position.
Note:
The above modification to drill the holes relates to the original GEN 1 and some
of the earlier GEN 2 Awnings only.
Later, GEN 2 Awnings are pre-drilled and only require the removal of the grommet plug
to expose the holes.
Refer to Page 8 of this manual for detailed drilling instructions.

1.
Cut out the template which relates to your model awning (GEN 1 or GEN 2)
2.
Fold the template along the dotted line and place it against the inside of the main perpendicular rafter arm
3.
Ensure that template aligns perfectly along the top and bottom of the rafter arm.
Mark the hole location through the template
4.
Drill a pilot hole with a 3mm (1/8") drill bit, followed by the 8mm (5/16") drill
5.
Remove sharp edges
ENSURE EYE AND EAR PROTECTION IS USED
WHILE CARRYING OUT THE ABOVE STEPS
