2.9 Radio link setup (portable version only)

The radio link setup is set by a subscription procedure between the handheld unit

and the base (see radio linking document).

This procedure is required for the handset to work with the base.

2.10 Connecting peripherals (portable version only)

Connectors RS232.1 and RS 232.2 allow you to connect :

Cash registering machine

Other RS232 peripherals such as external Pin pads, Check readers

2.11 Charging ARTEMA

Before using Artema for the first time, leave the handset to charge for 8 hours in

order to fully charge the battery pack. This should allow you to use Artema in

good conditions.

After a charging cycle, an icon indicates the battery charge level

In order for you to keep getting a large number of transactions without base

We recommend you to change battery packs every two years.
