CUTTING THE HOLE IN THE OUTSIDE SKIN:
Measure from floor level 605 mm upward and 475 wide (refer fig. 2). Cut out this hole and box it up.
Refer to fig. 2 for the position of the drain hole. Drill or cut a 32mm diameter hole.
CUTTING THE HOLE IN THE CUPBOARD FRONT:
The hole in the cupboard front is exactly the same as that cut through the side of the van ie. 605mm x
475mm. Ensure the inside and outside holes line up.
POWER SUPPLY:
Install a GPO near the front left-hand side of the unit (refer fig. 2).
UNPACKING OF THE KINGFISHER:
Check the following components have been supplied:
Air conditioner.
Facia assembly.
Duct extension.
Rear louvre.
Fastening kit containing the necessary screws and blanking caps.
Handheld control, complete with 2 x AAA batteries.
INSTALLING THE UNIT:
1: From the outside, lift the unit into the hole and push in until unit is exactly flush with the outside
wall of the van (see fig. 3).
WARNING: DO NOT PRESS ON THE DISCHARGE LOUVRE DOOR OR TRY ROTATING IT.
2: From the inside, check that the unit lines up exactly with the hole in the cupboard front. Recheck
that the outside is flush. Then drive the 2 screws through the fixing bracket into the floor (see fig. 4).
3: From the outside, using a silicon gun, seal around the perimeter of the unit's cabinet. If a gap
larger than 3mm exists then fill in this gap with a timber batten before applying the sealant (see
fig. 5). From the underside of the van apply a ring of sealant around the drain cutout to prevent water
infiltrating back onto the inside.
4: The outside louvre is now installed and it primarily locates on the fan discharge. Insert the 2 metal
thread screws just to the RHS of the discharge door (refer fig. 6). Check that there is an even gap of
1.5 to 2 mm all round the discharge door. This is most important as if the door interferes with the
louvre moulding, it may fail to open and close correctly. Now the 10 screws may be inserted around
